Oaklee 10 months!

Miss Oaklee is officially 10 months old!

Loves:
·         Playing with her dogs
·         Getting into any and everything
·         Going for drives
·         Playing with her toys

Dislikes:
·         Being told no
·         When she gets into something she isn’t supposed to and you take it away from her

Growth:
·         Currently in size 12 month for tops & bottoms
·         Still in size 3 diapers

Eating:
·         She is pretty much eating full on solids now.
·         I am still pumping around 18 ounces a day for her
·         LOVES Chicken!

Sleeping:
·         Sleep is still going awesome for her! 2 naps during the day and sleeping through the night from 8:00pm-6:30am

Development:
·         Oaklee can crawl now!
·         She pulls herself up and stands holding onto things

Health:
·         Oaklee is one healthy gal (so grateful)
·         She has teeth coming in like crazy!

Parenting:
Oaklee is such a sassy and wild little girl! She is defiantly going to give us a run for our money when she’s older!
She is such a dare devil and loves to do everything you tell her NOT to do. When you tell her no she kind of just looks at you and continues to do it with a little smirk on her face. When she knows its naughty she will secretly look at you before she touches it. Such a stinker!
The temper tantrums have begun! She gets really upset when you take something away from her or tell her no. She screams and try’s to push you away!

Looking forward to:
·         Walking
·         Her first birthday!

·         Learning new words

Oaklee 6 Months

How is my baby HALF A YEAR old! Crying all the mama tears I have!! It is going by so fast I can't believe it!

 Loves:

  • Rolling around the house like a mad woman
  • Her swing
  • Playing with Daddy
  • Pick-A-Boo
  • Giving high fives
  • Her fur siblings

Dislikes:

  • Being put down
  • When you don't give her enough attention
  • Teething

Growth:

  • 25th percentile for weight (15lbs 8oz.)
  • 90th percentile for height (27in.)
  • Currently wearing size 3 diapers
  • 9 month clothing

Eating:

  • I still pump so she is getting breast milk regularly
  • 32-35oz a day
  • We started solids this month! She loves it! She has been wanting to eat for so long!
  • So far she has tried; Rice cereal, Bananas, Mangos & Potatoes.

Sleeping:

  • Still has her regular schedule. Sleeps through the night and two naps during the day

Development:

  • Just starting sitting up!
  • Instead of crawling she just rolls where ever she needs to go!
  • She gives hi fives!
  • She can say "Da da"! (She knows what it means because when you ask where da da is she looks for Zack.

Health:

  • Both of her bottom two teeth popped out in like a day I swear!
  • We found out that she has ezcema on her back. It doesn't seem to bother her but if I don't keep up on the lotion it gets pretty bad!
  • She had a horrible reaction to her immunization shots this month! It was awful! She had a horrible fever and was screaming from the moment she woke up to the moment she went to bed! Luckily it only lasted for one day but it made me nervous!

Parenting:

This month has been a bit of a challenge! Oaklee has been teething and she is not afraid to show that she is upset! She's been very upset and will cry until you pick her up! She also figured out that if she just keeps crying someone will eventually come and get her (little stinker). We are trying to nip that one in the butt fast!
It is always such a joy to watch your baby grow and learn new things! She is so smart and just seems to advance at a pace we can't keep up with!
I love to watch how she lights up when the dogs enter the room. She adores them, and they just love her right back!

Looking forward to:

  • Trying more foods
  • Having a break from teething
  • Crawling
  • Learning more words

 Loves:
  • ·         Growling & screaming. She is such a loud little talker!
  • ·         Being tickled by Daddy
  • ·         The dogs. She LOVES dogs but seems to have a fascination with Harlee. She gets the biggest smile whenever Harlee enters the room
  • ·         Taking pictures. I take pictures of her daily & I think she just knows when the cameras out its time to shine!
  • ·         Holding her fingers in her mouth with her other hand. See example below. It’s so stinkin cute!
  • ·         Her bottle. Her eyes get so big as soon as she sees that thing!

  • ·         When you don’t give her your full attention
  • ·         When you don’t feed her right away when she’s hungry

Development:

  • ·         Still being a rolly polly
  • ·         Getting really good with her hands while playing with toys
  • ·         We’ve been practicing sitting up more
  • ·         When laying on her belly she is starting to get her butt up and pushing with      her legs
  • ·         If she isn’t sleeping she is talking away

Health:
  • ·         She’s starting to teeth so lots of drool everywhere

Parenting:

Being a parent can be so hard sometimes. I have serious “mom guilt” about a lot of things in my life right now. For example, I work full time and feel like I don’t get to play and enjoy a lot of alone time with O. And then when I get home I need to make sure my family is fed and the house is clean and by that time it's Oaklee’s bed time. Does anyone else feel this way? I really want to spend my time wisely this next month.
I started having Oaklee be a Brand Rep & Brand Enthusiast on Instagram recently and it’s been a blast for me! I really enjoy doing it and the opportunities it has given Oaklee and I! I enjoy working with all these amazing small businesses and helping them grow! I’m debating on doing a post on how I got started but I’m not sure yet, let me know if you’d be interested!

Looking forward to:

  • ·         Sitting up
  • ·         Crawling (a little afraid that she can get around on her own)
  • ·         Eating solids (again a little afraid)
  • ·         Spending more quality time with O

Giveaway!!!

Hey everyone! I know it's been a minute but I am going to make this post short and sweet! A lot has been going on in our lives recently (Zacky's second surgery fast approaching) so I've been taking some time off the blog. I'm sorry but I’ll be posting more next week while I am in the hospital.

Well back to what this post is all about, giveaway time!! Yay!!

I am planning to start doing giveaways once a month, every other month it will be a larger prize!! I am so excited about this you don't even know!! (:

Anyway, as you may know I LOVE workout clothes. Every stores workout section just sucks me right in!! So recently I went into Lululemon.... and died. Everything is so beautiful and sooo unique! Some of the things feel like nothing I've ever felt before!!! So I thought I’d share the love of a product from there I have been really enjoying!

My hair is short so when I workout it’s hard to make sure it all stays in a ponytail, so I bought one of Lululemon's headbands and it was life changing! It keeps my hair in place and DOES NOT MOVE!! So I am giving one away!!! Yay!!!

At the bottom of this post you will find the entry details!!! Good luck!!! (:

To be entered in this giveaway you must do the following:

-Follow me on Instagram @mrscourtcollard (link is also on the right hand side of my blog)
-Must like the picture on Instagram
-And comment on the picture on Instagram saying done
-Tagging 2 friends will get you a second entry!

Contest ends 03/20/15
Good luck!!!

Those who are entered will be chosen at random. I will be writing each name down and picking it out of a hat (i'll post a video on Instagram and contact you there!) (:

3 Simple Hairstyles for the Lazy Girl In You

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Today I am going to be showing you 3 simple hairstyles for you short hair ladies! (These work with long hair as well. Bonus!)

I love how easy my short hair is but I sometimes feel like I am always doing the same thing with it every day. So I played around for a while to find some different hairstyles that can be done just as fast but still give me the look that I actually went the extra mile on my hair. So let’s jump right into it.

You can do any of these with straight or curly hair. My hair is usually in messy curls so that’s what I’ll be working with today.

1. Twisted side
This little twist took me a minute to master but I finally figured out the trick!
I start by taking 2 pieces on one side of my hair.

I then twist each separate piece AWAY from my face. Make sure you twist each piece the same direction, away from the face. That is the trick.

I then twist each piece over the other until I run out of hair.

I then boddy pin it back and you’re done!

2. Braided half up
This is similar to the twisted side but instead of twisting you braid and on both sides.

I start by braiding one section of my hair (as you can tell I changed my part the middle), this time I will grab my longer pieces so that it can reach the back of my head after braiding.

I then do the exact same thing on the other side until I reach where my last braid ended.

I pin both sections together so they meet on the back of my head.

I fix my curls and I am good to go!

3. The 3 tuck
The next one takes a minute to get just right but once you master it, it turns out awesome! This is especially awesome for layers!
First you section out 3 pieces at the bottom of your hair and section them off.

I like to leave out a few pieces from the front.

Then start pinning. I twist and pin different sections making it look like an up do.

I make sure all pieces are how I want them and spray for hold.

I hope these are useful for some of you because I absolutely love them! Let me know if you tried any of these out and if they worked for you! Thanks for checking in!
Love Always,
