2015

Happy New Year everyone!!!
Can you believe it is already 2015?
Where the heck did 2014 go?

2014 was one amazing year for me! I started a new job, bought our first home, I got engaged, and I got married to the love of my life. Looking back all I can say is I am truly blessed. 2014 you were so good to my family and me. You will forever hold so many special memories of mine.
I cannot wait to begin 2015 and see all the amazing things it has in store for my family and me!

To start off every year, I always make a few goals for myself and I thought I'd share a few with you so maybe you can all help me stay on track!

My number one goal is probably the same as everyone else but ya know, you gotta try and get it this year! (;

1. Get my "dream" body. This year I really want to make an effort to watch what I eat, and workout a little more.
2. Be consistent with my blog. I want to make sure that I am at least posting two or three times a week. I have really been slacking lately but I have some fun things in store, and I am excited to get everything going.
3. I want to strive to work on the relationships with those around. Sometimes it is hard to give enough attention to everyone in your life, and I feel bad about it. I don't get to see my family as much as I’d like and I get really upset about it. So this year I really want to make an effort to spend quality time with those around me.
4. Have a positive attitude daily. I'll admit it, I am a complainer. Zacky likes to tell me "stop complaining all the time." I didn't notice it that much until he pointed it out to me. I complain way too much and it needs to stop. So I made a goal to have a more positive attitude. I am so very blessed and I need to realize that and stop complaining.
5. Be a better wife/always be working to build my marriage. It's not that I am a bad wife but I can always be better. Zack works really hard to provide enough so that we can have and do the things we want/need and I want to make sure that I provide for him as well. I want to always be looking for ways to strengthen and build our marriage. I want to work towards our dreams not only as a husband and wife but as individuals. I want to look back next year and think about the struggles and triumphs we went through to work towards what we've always wanted together.
6. Start a new adventure. I want to make sure this year is full of adventure and so I am going to make an effort to get out of my comfort zone and do some new things and face my fears. I hope that those around me can do the same.

These were a few off my list that were important to me that I thought I’d share. Let's make 2015 the best year yet! I can't wait to make some new memories. (P.S. I made a memory jar. Pretty sure I’ll be the only one putting memories in it but that’s okay! Haha)

I'd love to hear what some of your goals are for the New Year! Thanks for checking in and being a part of our 2014 year!

Enjoy a little recap of 2014 with us.

Half a Year!!

Okay, can we all say it together? "Courtney where have you been??"

I am so sorry guys! Seriously, life has been busy lately and it’s been hard to find time to do anything!! But I made it a priority to get my blog up and running again!!

Guys! Can you believe I’ve been married for six months!! Six months, as in, half a year!! Where has the time gone! I feel like I got married yesterday!
With that being said, I thought it would be a fun idea to let you all know how marriage is. Hopefully some of you can relate and hopefully some of you can see what it’s REALLY like to be married. Let’s get started!

1. Life is not about just you anymore. I don't know if it was just me or not but this was a really hard adjustment for me.

I have OCD; let’s just get that out there.

I like things my way and if things don't go my way or don't follow my schedule I get really, really scattered and it just messes with me. Marriage has made me realize that I not only have to plan my schedule but I have to work with someone else as well. And Sometimes that person doesn't always want to go along with what I have planned, (cough cough, Zack).

Marriage has taught me patience, not only with myself but with my hubby.

2. Marriage is the good, bad & the ugly. Living with someone 24/7 you get to see a vulnerable side of them that you might not have seen before. You get to see them at their best moments and their worst and there is nothing you can do to stop that. Let’s just say I’ve had my moments where Zack has no idea what to do... (Bawling my eyes out because Harlee chewed up my new shoes. I’m a girl what can you expect?) (; But he was there to hold me and tell me everything was going to be okay. Or the time I got food poisoning on the way to a family reunion and we had to stop at a park bathroom and I prayed to God that the door was unlocked. He laughed at me yes, but he never judged me.

No matter what happens I will always love my husband, though the good, bad and the ugly.

3. Marriage makes you want babes. I heard this all the time before getting married and thought no way. But seriously guys, I just want babies! I see people with babies, I die. I see baby clothes, I die.  I see people Prego, I die. I have no idea where this baby crazy person came from but it’s scary! Even though I want babes, I know I want to build our lives up to a point where we are both emotionally and physically ready for that next step.

So for those of you waiting for it to happen, I can tell you it won’t be soon. Sorry. (:

4. Marriage makes you beyond grateful for your family. Being married and living on my own gives me a whole new perspective on my parents, and my siblings. All I have to ask is, “Mom and Dad how in the heck did you do it?”

I have a whole new level of respect for my parents. Raising 5 children (all of which were girls $$$) could not have been easy. And I am so sorry for being such a devil child! You guys did so much for us and I didn’t notice it until now.

Paying your own bills, living on your own, AND making your own dinner. Let’s get real, it’s tough.

5. Last but not least marriage makes you discovery who you really are. Loving someone to a point of wanting to spend the rest of your life with them is deep. I have a love for Zack that I cannot explain with words. Without him I am not a whole. He truly is my better half.
Loving him teaches me to have love for myself. I believe that you can’t give someone your full love unless you love yourself.
Think about it. When you’re sad or upset with yourself, you give off that energy to those around you.

When Zack tells me I’m beautiful or that he loves me, he reminds me to love myself.

Marriage is the bee’s knees guys.

It teaches you a lot and helps you grow not only as an individual but as a couple. I am so glad Zacky picked me to be his wife!

Our Big Day

Yay! Finally I have had enough time to get this post created and published. This will probably be my favorite post so far because come on; it was my wedding day guys!! First off my wedding day could not have happened without all the help from my family and friends so thank you, everyone!! You guys were awesome and made mine and Zack's day so special.

Okay well I am a bit of a control freak so everything I did for my wedding (like literally almost EVERYTHING) I made myself. Pinterest was a huge help but in the end I went with everything that I thought looked best. Our theme was "Country", so I stayed with very natural color scheme. I wanted it to be more of a country chic wedding; I didn't want the colors to be to overpowering. The color scheme we went with was Light peach, Brown & Gold. It was so perfect for me because colors aren't really my thing (I’m very neutral).

  As far as the decorations go, you guessed it. I made them all myself. I loved how everything turned out. It was perfect. (I wish I had more pictures of the small details that went into everything but ya cant have everything.) (;

My favorite part of my wedding was the bridesmaid & groomsmen clothes. I loved the simply country look I went with and I thought it turned out perfect! I loved everything that I found and all the women & men wore it perfectly. Especially Joey, he was working that sling like a champ!

I made the girls tutu's as well.
The day was perfect and I could not have asked for anything better. It was just what I imagined it to be, simply yet chic and fun. I could not ask for anything better and I am the luckiest girl on the planet to be able to become Mrs. Collard. Zack is my best friend and I could not think of spending the rest of my life with anyone else. I hope you enjoyed this post and check out some extra pictures from the day.

I just want to take a moment and brag a little about my amazing husband. Life would not be life without him. He is my sunshine to everyday. I never have a dull moment with him in my life. He brings me such joy and happiness it sometimes overwhelms me. I am so blessed to have had the chance to meet my soul mate and begin this walk through life together. I love beginning and ending every day in his arms. I love you baby. To the moon and back.

Love always,
